Shandong is a "bridgehead" for cooperation between China and Japan and South Korea, and is one of the Chinese provinces with the closest and most convenient exchanges with Japan and South Korea. In recent years, the economic and cultural exchanges between Shandong and Japan and South Korea have continued to deepen. The trade volume between Shandong and South Korea accounts for nearly 1/10 of the total trade volume between China and South Korea, and the trade volume between Shandong and Japan accounts for more than 7% of the total trade volume between China and Japan. There are 5,626 existing investment companies in Shandong by Japan and South Korea, with a total investment of US$31.85 billion and more than 300,000 employees. At present, Shandong is accelerating the construction of the new and old kinetic energy conversion comprehensive pilot zone, China (Shandong) Free Trade Pilot Zone, SCO Local Economic and Trade Cooperation Demonstration Zone and other national-brand platforms, which have laid a good foundation for successfully hosting this event.
